As we all know, Porsche makes one of the best hybrid cars around the world. Not long ago, they also stepped into the electric car market with their two most successful cars Taycan sports saloon and the Taycan Cross Turismo cross-utility. But this time, Porsche has taken one step further and made a concept of an electric car that is track-oriented, and it is the brand’s first EV racecar.

The performance of Mission-R is capable of matching the performance level of the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup as Porsche said. The electric motors of Mission-R deliver a peak power output of 1088 PS in qualification mode and have a constant power output of 680 PS from electric motors in race mode. Thanks to the all-wheel-drive system Porsche Mission-R that takes less than 2.5 sec to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h and has a top speed of more than 300 km/h. Due to 900-Volt technology and fast charging Mission-R can be charged from 5 to 80 percent within 15 minutes.

The big thing to talk about Mission-R are the doors, front and rear wings, side panels, and center section in the rear of Mission-R are made of natural fiber reinforced plastic which is obtained from farming as the Porsche says. In Mission-R, the structure is made up of carbon fiber composite material to make the driver safer and Porsche engineers and designers named it an Exoskeleton.

The design of Mission-R is very distinctive. You get big air intakes on the front, vents in the headlamps to pass the air, large side air vents, big and chunky active rear spoiler, massive diffusers at the rear, this all adds to make Mission-R more aerodynamic and make it more different from the regular Porsche’s cars. Porsche also uses DRS technology and it is comprised of three louvres. At high speed, this louvres are closed automatically and the spoiler locates itself in the steepest position to increase the downforce.

As we all know Porsche concept cars and the production cars are very similar in design. Porsche does not change the design so much when it launches the production version of any car. So, we can expect that the Mission-R design also looks similar while coming to production in the future, and the Porsche is fully ready for electrification in all segments.
